  28. %JR%Thank you for your reply to my letter, with the disc you 
  29. %JL%enclosed. It contained a great deal of most interesting 
  30. %JR%information, and of course the solution to the 
  31. format-to-two-widths problem.

  33. %JR%The PD printer driver which gave me the problems was the 
  34. %JL%FX80 one supplied. I enclose a copy thereof, and one 
  35. %JR%slightly modified by me for my Star LC-10 printer. I also 
  36. %JL%enclose a letter to Colton which I have not sent to them 
  37. %JR%yet, as this explains my "cent-sign" problem in some 
  38. %JL%detail. I have not sent the letter, as I have not really 
  39. %JR%been able to devote enough time to PD3, and there may be 
  40. %JL%more items which addle my brain. Also, the advent of a new 
  41. release may remove some of them.

  43. %JR%I also make a lot of use of the IBM top-bit-set graphics 
  44. %JL%characters - the ones you draw boxes around tables with. I 
  45. %JR%know RISC OS drivers can't print them, as they are not 
  46. %JL%defined as such. That doesn't matter, because if I set my 
  47. %JR%printer to "IBM ", it prints them quite happily. Also, it 
  48. %JL%is this very character set that yields the cent sign! I 
  49. %JR%hope to find time to sit down and produce a PD3 driver for 
  50. IBM characters - some day!
